DBIT, Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Okhla is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, is owned and managed by Salesians of Don Bosco, which is an acclaimed international organization of the Roman Catholic Church founded in 1859 by Don Bosco, an Italian Saint, recognized globally as a prolific educationist.

Having its headquarters in Rome, Salesians reach out to 134 countries with over 15 universities, 58 institutions of higher learnings, 1000s of schools, colleges, technical schools, youth centres and social development centres, educating millions of young people.
